Cohiba

Cohiba is one of the most prestigious and iconic Cuban cigar brands in the world. Established in 1966, it was originally created for Fidel Castro, who became a great admirer of the brand and smoked Cohiba cigars during official meetings and important occasions. Initially reserved for Cuba’s political and diplomatic elite, Cohiba was later introduced to the international market. The name comes from the word used by the indigenous Taíno people to refer to tobacco.
